Extend your Vista Trial Period to 120 days..

Is 30 days trial not long enough for you to make up your mind on Vista – how about if you had 120 days?

Jeff Atwood at Coding Horror has published a blog entry  Extending the Windows Grace Period to 120 days showing you how to extend your trial period by 30 days at time (you can do this a maximum of 3 times – hence an extra 90 days on top of your existing 30 day trial).

Jeff has also stated that this is an "official, supported operation directly from Microsoft" – so sounds like you won’t be getting a visit from the copyright police for doing this one.. (and all the components/commands you need to run are already installed)

You’ll of course need to buy an official license after these 120 days – but common sense would dictate that you would have figured out if you want to go with Vista by this time.

See the blog entry (linked above) for the full details (also note that the Enterprise edition of Vista is not supported by this hack)..
